Electronic Visit Verification & Montoring System

On October 1, 2017, the Alabama Medicaid Agency implemented an Electronic Visit Verification and Monitoring (EVVM) system to monitor visits to Home and Community Based Waiver Services clients. The AuthentiCare® EVVM system enables more accuracy in service tracking, reporting, and billing for in-home care providers

During the months of November and December, providers participated in six open discussions concerning the EVVM system.
 

During the month of September, providers participated in multiple training opportunities to prepare for EVVM implementation. These included:

  • Provider Refresher Training>Provider Refresher Training - This training informed all potential users of the EVVM system and covered the topics discussed during the August training sessions.
  • Case Manager Training - This training included discussions on how to obtain an initial case manager PIN from the operating agency, registration for case managers and a question and answer session.
  • Provider Assistance Calls - Topics included claims confirmation and the mobile application.
  • On-demand video - Video of the August training session for in-home care providers.
