Public Comment Sought for Medicaid Technology Assisted Waiver for Adults Renewal

The Alabama Medicaid Agency is seeking public comment on its proposal to renew the Alabama Home and Community-Based Waiver for Technology Assisted Waiver for Adults (TA Waiver). 

 

The target group for the Technology Assisted Waiver for Adults is individuals who are 21 years of age or older with complex skilled medical conditions who meet the nursing facility level of care. These individuals are ventilator-dependent or have a tracheostomy and live in the community. There is no maximum age limit. The Alabama Medicaid Agency is responsible for operating the TA Waiver. The TA Waiver participants can access targeted case management activities through the Alabama Department of Senior Services. 

 

The Technology Assisted Waiver for Adults provides Private Duty Nursing (RN/LPN), Personal Care/Attendant Services, Medical Supplies and Appliances, and Assistive Technology.
