The Alabama Medicaid Agency will hold two training webinars to help providers prepare for the conversion of hospital inpatient payments from per diem to per-discharge based on All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (APR-DRGs) effective October 1, 2016. This new payment method will apply to all hospital inpatient claims for Medicaid fee-for-service recipients and is expected to be used by many of the Regional Care Organizations, as well.

This training outlines the APR-DRG payment method in detail and will be offered Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Noon and Tuesday April 12, 2016 at 9 a.m.
