DME Wheelchair Benefit Limitation Change Effective August 1, 2017 for Children, Ages 0-20 only

RE: DME Wheelchair Benefit Limitation Change Effective August 1, 2017 for Children, Ages 0-20 only
Effective August 1, 2017, the benefit limits for manual or power/motorized wheelchairs are:
• One every five years for children ages 0-20, and
• One every seven years for adults ages 21 and older.
Approvals for all wheelchairs are based on medical necessity.
