In 2007, the Alabama Medicaid Agency’s commitment to sharing a portion of program savings with providers who helped make those savings possible became a reality. The continuing distribution of shared savings is based on established measures of performance and efficiency and a formula designed to equitably dispense savings across all Patient 1^st peer groups. Patient 1st shared savings information listed below has been updated to reflect the 2009 distribution.
