Adverse Events

Alabama Medicaid has implemented new rules related to the reporting of adverse events, hospital-acquired conditions and Present On Admission (POA) indicators for admission dates on or after July 1, 2010. Each in-state and border hospital is expected to utilize this policy for inpatient admissions and concurrent stay reviews.
