RE:  Provider Enrollment–Provider Site Visits and Criminal Background Checks

Beginning July 19, 2021, the Alabama Medicaid Agency Fiscal Agent (Gainwell Technologies) will resume provider site visits and criminal background checks for moderate and high-risk providers.

An unannounced site visit may be required as part your provider enrollment process. Site visits are unscheduled, unannounced visits conducted by a Gainwell provider representative. The Gainwell provider representative will wear a name badge with picture identification and provide a Gainwell business card at the time of visit.
