Oct 24, 2025 - Providers, recipients and other interested individuals will have the opportunity to provide input on the Alabama Medicaid Agency Section 1115 Institutions for Mental Disease Waiver for Serious Mental Illness (SMI) 1115(a) Demonstration program during November public forums in Daphne, Alabama and in Montgomery, Alabama.

Nov 24, 2025 - Effective January 1, 2026, the Alabama Medicaid Agency will update coverage of procedure code 96127 to allow for prenatal and postpartum depression screening to pregnant recipients over the age of 21.
