RE:   Pharmacy Updates Related to COVID-19

Effective May 1, 2021, the COVID-19 related universal prior authorization (PA) number will no longer be accepted for pharmacy overrides related to the three-month maintenance supply program. The universal PA will continue to work for claims associated to COVID-19 in other allowances (other than the three-month maintenance supply program) as described in the March 17, 2020 ALERT found here:  https://medicaid.alabama.gov/alert_detail.aspx?ID=13747.
